Due to the success of our live webinars we have decided to start recording the webinar sessions so we can make them widely available to the public. That way you can learn more about Compendle at a time that best suits you.
The first recorded webinar will be on ‘Transforming your e-learning’ and will be available for you to access shortly. Remember, you can sign up for a free Compendle account and try the tool for yourself.
If there’s one thing the Compendle team value, it’s customer feedback. People kept telling us to allow the resource pool to be shared across courses. Well, we’ve listened!
Now instead of having to import a new set of resources every time you create a course, any resource you import will be available to all the courses you create. We’ve also structured the resource pool with folders to make it easier for you to manage resources.
The new Compendle subscription package for organisations, Compendle Teams, allows resources to be shared across departments from a shared resource pool. This, coupled with Compendle’s peer review component Review Panel, offer organisations a truly collaborative way of creating courses online.
The Compendle development team have been working hard to improve your Compendle experience. As a part of this ongoing process, Compendle now includes ACTIVITY BUILDER.

Activity Builder is a new feature of Compendle Author which allows you to create and add engaging activities to your e-learning content. Compendle’s newest feature allows users to create up to 16 interactions including multiple choice quizzes, drag-and-drops, rating and survey activities.

It’s hard to believe that we’re nearly in May already. Our webinars are still going strong with interest from all over the place! People seem to be so busy these days, particularly in Further and Higher Education, that finding time to slot in a webinar can be tricky.
To help out with this we have produced a range of PDFs that cover the key points of each webinar session. Of course, you can’t beat the real thing, but for people who are busy these PDFs provide an excellent alternative. Download them by clicking the links below:
And, if you do have time to attend, remember you can view our upcoming webinars and register for them easily on our webinars page.

Technique 1 – Keep assets external
When creating a learning object you should consider keeping your asset files (logo, style sheets, etc.) in an external location. This will give you the flexibility to use these files again when creating multiple learning objects.
The major advantages of this are assets are only loaded once and course-wide changes can be made quickly and easily. This will allow you to very quickly rebrand and re-contextualise the same learning object for a different audience, institution or brand.
