Assessment and Learning in Practice Settings (ALPS) are using Compendle to create assessments for UK students. They are currently piloting a new online system, created by MyKnowledgeMap, which allows universities to map student competencies and create assessments using mobile devices.
The system is aimed at students of vocational degrees, such as nursing and occupational therapy, to allow them to complete assessments whilst on work experience. They can fill in questionnaires, record audio, and liaise with their tutors through their mobiles to ensure they cover all practical aspects of their course.
Compendle has been integrated into the system to allow tutors to create assessment packages which can be sent easily to mobile devices.

Leading digital repository provider Intrallect are now using Compendle on their digital repository system, intraLibrary. intraLibrary allows organisations to discover, share, manage and distribute e-learning directly or through a range of tools including web portals, learning platforms, blogs, wikis, news readers and content authoring/management tools.
“Being able to organise resources in Compendle and publish to intraLibrary in a single click takes the normal time and effort out of managing resources and allows you to focus more on developing the resources themselves,” said Charles Duncan of Intrallect.

Compendle’s creator MyKnowledgeMap has recently teamed up with the National-Louis University to set up the European Institute for Technology in Education (EITE) in Nowy Sacz, Poland. The EITE’s primary objective will be to support utilization of e-learning in teaching at schools and universities, enterprises and private training centres.
This will include creating innovative teaching solutions using the latest technologies and developing existing MyKnowledgeMap products like Compendle.
